Originally hailing from Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Amanda—owner of PR Horsemanship—has been passionate about horses for as long as she can remember.

Her journey began at just 12 years old, riding under the guidance of Nadine Bollig at Reaching Strides Equestrian Center. By 14, she was already competing in the hunter ring, and by 16, she had earned both her instructor certification and her English Equine Canada Level 7. Amanda’s love for the sport only grew stronger with time. A move to Alberta opened new doors, allowing her to explore ranch riding and further develop her western skills while casually showing with the Alberta Paint Horse Club.

Driven by a desire to support the everyday equestrian, Amanda founded PR Horsemanship—a welcoming, judgment-free space created specifically to empower “mid-range” riders and horse owners. Whether it's answering questions about the sport, building tailored training programs, or offering thoughtful rehab solutions, Amanda’s mission is to help others feel confident and capable in their equestrian journeys.

Still active in the hunter and derby circuits, Amanda also dedicates her time to developing horses across a range of disciplines. She’s currently working with stallion prospect Quincy, shaping him into a well-rounded performance horse. With a commitment to continuing education and mentorship under a variety of respected horsemanship trainers, Amanda has cultivated a training philosophy centered around confidence, trust, and partnership between horse and rider.

From green colts to seasoned jumpers, Amanda brings a wealth of experience, empathy, and expertise—ensuring that both horse and rider reach their full potential.
